Custom Automation Engineering
Over 8 months, I designed 200+ SolidWorks parts for custom tooling solutions used in industrial automation systems. I optimized workflows and selected robots, pneumatic cylinders, motors, and sensors based on material properties, static loads, kinematics, and cycle times. Leading customer design review meetings, I developed VR environments to guide clients through their custom machines. By shadowing three interdisciplinary teams, I gained insight into PLC programming, robotic reach testing, teach pendant operations, and electrical schematic design/cabinet assembly.
